Applied Industrial Technologies has an experienced project team that provides mechanical power transmission supply management for Capital/Construction and MRO projects. Applied’s project group works with project design engineers, consultants, fabricators, manufacturers and end users to assist our customers in planning, executing, controlling, and closing their projects.  

Working with key project personnel, Applied provides a thorough market cost analysis to reduce upfront costs, followed by mechanical drive reviews for optimal performance, product rationalization and product standardization to minimize on-site inventory requirements.

 
Applied tailors our involvement in customer projects to meet and exceed customer needs and project goals. Applied project capabilities include:

  • Client assistance in setting detailed mill standards for mechanical components to deliver cost savings through standardization and product rationalization.
  • Full mechanical drive reviews and analysis including service factors, overhung load capacities, and design flexibility to accommodate future speed and horsepower requirements
  •  Applied participation in efficiency and reliability improvement projects
  •  Review and supply of mechanical mill components according to mill standards
  • Recommendations to minimize mechanical spare parts requirements
  • Provision of detailed mechanical equipment information for upload into Customer Maintenance Managements System (CMMS).
  • Cost savings opportunities through utilization of available technical support, engineering capabilities and commercial leverage within the power transmission industry to supply projects at the OEM level.
